StreetLights Outreach is a feet-on-the-street outreach ministry with a fourfold mission:
- Provide a positive presence in at-risk neighborhoods.
- Personally encounter people as they are, where they are without judgement.
- Engage people on the margins with the dignity of conversation and community.
- Provide assistance and support where it is needed and welcomed.
StreetLights Outreach began in 2004 as a street ministry providing a presence to homeless persons on the streets of Green Bay. Over the years, StreetLights Outreach has evolved but maintains a commitment to engaging in the lives of people living on the margins of our community, reminding them that they are valued and loved.
Be Vulnerable – The Story Behind Whatsoever You Do, Inc
StreetLights Outreach has expanded to also provide Block Parties, or picnics in local parks, for all people in the neighborhood. The Block Parties have become full community celebrations including free food, music, children’s activities, prizes, and much more!
This year’s dates are:
Friday, June 26 | 5:00-6:30 p.m. with set up at 4:00 p.m. | Tank Park
Saturday, July 18 | 1:00-6:00 p.m. | Seymour Park | The annual Spirit in Song Celebration
Sunday, August 16 | 12:00-5:00 p.m. | Tank Park | Splash Day sponsored by the Tank Neighborhood Association
We always need volunteers to distribute flyers, prepare and serve food, host children’s activities, and provide hospitality for our guests.
Volunteers and donations are always appreciated.
